RPA / Automation Analyst
Job Description: Automation Analyst – Avalara CCO Business Excellence Team
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Automation Analyst to join Avalara CCO (Customers & Compliance Operations) Business Excellence Innovate Team. The CCO Business Excellence Team aids other business units in CCO to achieve better efficiency. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams across CCO to deliver automation solutions using MS Power Platform, Python, UiPath, and other Commercial Off-the-shelf software applications.
Responsibilities:
- Open to new technologies, analyze existing solutions, and propose better and efficient alternatives.
- Develop and maintain automated solutions including Microsoft PowerAutomate, PowerApp, SharePoint, and other components of the MS environment to solve a variety of problems and enable efficiencies to support business partners.
- Maintain automation solutions with UiPath & Orchestrator.
- Collaborate with a multi-functional, highly matrixed organization to understand business needs & questions, and identify the best solution to fit the needs of our partners.
- Be self-critical and provide constructive feedback to other team members while developing engaging solutions.
- Lead design and feedback sessions through the development and maintenance of solutions.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Assist on complex projects of large scope with the help of senior team members.
- Complete work independently and receive general guidance on new projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum BS degree in computer science or technology-related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automation-oriented solutions.
- Advanced experience with MS Power Platform environment, PowerAutomate, PowerApp, PowerBI, and SharePoint.
- Experience with UiPath Studio & Orchestrator.
- Experience with Azure Dataverse & Azure SQL.
- Experience developing canvas and model-driven PowerApps with a nice UX interface.
- Experience creating Forms and Flows & Common Data Service.
- Experience developing solutions that span multiple Office365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook, Graph API, OneNote, OneDrive, etc.).
- Experience migrating business processes to PowerApps and PowerAutomate.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively support competing priorities.
- Self-starter who can quickly acclimate to a dynamic environment.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, GitLab, and JIRA is a plus.
- Experience developing other creative and innovative automation solutions is a plus.
- Team player, eager to learn, and wanting to evolve.
