Senior Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Engineer at Illumina
Position Summary
As a Senior RPA Engineer at Illumina, you’ll be part of the GIS Automation Product team, developing and supporting new automations across all lines of business. You’ll play a crucial role in simplifying tasks, enabling users to perform their jobs effectively. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that impact human health globally.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support RPA automations with various lines of business
- Deliver end-to-end services for requested automations
- Manage and support RPA environments
- Act as a point of contact for offshore escalations related to RPA use cases
- Provide general to complex technology support
- Maintain development best practices across the RPA team’s portfolio
- Establish connectors/connectivity to different platforms
- Monitor performance of VM’s and Bots
Requirements
- Strong technical and functional experience with RPA
- Experience in a fast-paced, global, corporate environment
- Ability to translate existing manual processes into automated processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills within a global workforce
- Technical experience with hands-on RPA application platform management and development tools such as UiPath
- Database experience with platforms like Snowflake, SQL Server, Mongo, and MySQL (a plus)
- Prior experience and knowledge of the O365 suite (a plus)
- API and scripting experience
- Change control experience in an FDA regulated environment (a plus)
Experience/Education
- Typically requires 5+ years of Information Technology and development related experience
- 3 years of hands-on experience with RPA tools including bot development and administration desired, with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
